Obituary of Gloria Muriel Tarver

Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria Muriel Harper Tarver age 82 of Clarks will be held 2pm Sunday September 4, 2011 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. Harrell Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosefield Cemetery at Rosefield. Visitation will be on Sunday evening Sept. 3 from 5pm until 9pm at the Riser Funeral Home and again on Sunday from 10 am until time of service. Born Gloria Muriel Harper August 6, 1929 to the union of J.C. and Laura Bell Harper, she passed from this life peacefully at her residence on Friday September 2, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents , her husband LaVaughn Tarver, and her brothers, Jim & Jerry Harper, and her grand son Scotty Busby. Left to cherish her precious memory are her children; Patricia Busby and husband Fred of Clarks, Richard Grant and wife Kay of Holum, Linda Lowery of Clarks, Travis Grant of Kelly, and DeWanna Adams and husband Donald of Elm Grove, and Kathy Tarver Laffoon and special friend Mark of Calhoun. She also leaves nine grand children and seven great grand children.Pallbearers include Derek Lisenby, Christopher Adams, Donald Adams, Tommy Rainbolt, Allen McKeithen, Dean Lowery, Glenn Barnhill, and Patrick Ackerson.
