Obituary of Jackye Price

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Olla with Bro. Bo Prather officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Riser Funeral Home in Olla from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mrs. Price was born in Urania, LA on March 26, 1932 to the union of James Mack and Juanita Martin Nichols and passed from this life on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania, LA. She was a member of Urania Baptist Church and worked as a LPN and enjoyed deer hunting. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil E. Price, Sr., son, Tommie W. Price, three brothers: James Mack Nichols, Jr., William "Billy" Nichols and Milford Allen Nichols and sister, Madra Ann Munsinger. Survivors include son, Cecil E. Price, Jr. and wife, Linda of Joyce, LA; two daughters: Cecelia F. "Sissy" Hunt and husband, Ray of Harrison, AR and Dorothy L. "Sue" Ety and husband, Steve of Olla, LA; sister, Myrna Canaday and husband, Ronald "Rip" of Harrisonburg, LA; ten grandchildren: Dawn Williams, Tammy Brooks, Christi Berry, Cecil "Trey" Price, III, Chris Alan Price, Ronald Bignar, Amber Zink, Jerry Lynn Esters, Dierdra Williams and Jason Butcher; twenty great-grandchildren: Faith Williams, Emily Williams, Bryson Williams, Gabriel Williams, Jordan Brooks, Lexie Brooks, Lane Brooks, Tommie D. Price, Michael Berry, Elesa Jane Price, Ella Olivia Price, Tyler Zink, Chris Esters, Cecil Esters, Ryan Esters, Brittany Anderson, Brienna Anderson, Dalton Butcher, Chloe Buthcher and Morgan Butcher; two great-great-grandchildren: Adrian Sharp and Haiden Anderson, special cousin, Evelyn Gunn and special friends, Carl and Mildred Vickers. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
