Obituary of Marjorie Crooks

Funeral services for Marjorie Day Crooks, 95, of Lafayette, formerly of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday September 10, 2011 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Eric Harriman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Holum Baptist Church Cemetery. Marjorie was born August 28, 1916 Gross and Salley Hudson in Columbia and she passed away from this life on September 8, 2011 at Lafayette General Hospital. She was a LPN and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Marjorie Wyant and JoAnn Thompson. She is survived by two sons: Dick Day and his wife Libby; Tom Day and his wife Martha; one daughter: Terri Day; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
