Obituary of Lena Mann

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lena McGrew Mann 97 of Columbia will be held 3pm Sunday September 18, 2011 at the Palestine Cemetery at Vixon with Rev. Jack Mckeithen officiating. Visitation will be at the Palestine Baptist Church on Sunday from 2pm until 2:50pm . Lena McGrew Mann was born July 11, 1914 in Caldwell Parish to the union of her parents, Walter and Elizabeth Head. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husbands, Jessie McGrew and G.A. Mann; her brothers, Earnest Head, Emmett Head and Douglas Head; and by her sisters Alice Banister, Mattie West, Bettie Hargrove, and Jettie James. Left to cherish her memory are her son Johnny Wilbur McGrew and wife Bonnie McGrew of Grayson.; her grandsons, John McGrew of Orlando, Florida; Stephen McGrew of Grayson, and her great- grand daughter, Celeste McGrew of Ruston,LA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Pallbearers are Ricky McGrew, Ken Massey, Chris Waggoner, Glenn Varner, Ronnie Massey, and David Massey. The McGrew-Mann Family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Pankaj Shroff and staff, Caldwell Memorial Hospital and Haven Nursing Center for all of their special care and kindness.
