Obituary of Lacy Brownell

Lacy Earl Brownell was born on October 1, 1948 at Winnsboro, LA to the union of his parents Loyce Frank Brownell and Georgia Mae Mock Brownell. He passed from this life on Monday September 19, 2011 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. Lacy was a life long resident of Caldwell Parish, and was a retired employee of the Caldwell Parish Police Jury. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lacy will be remembered for his wit and his contagious smile, and his friendliness to all. Left to cherish his memory , is his brother James Herman Brownell of Columbia; and his sister June Melva David and her husband Earl J. David of Baton Rouge. Lacy also leaves a number of nieces and nephews, and other family members. The funeral service will be held on the afternoon of Thursday September 22, 2011 at 2pm from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home. Rev. Shane Duke and Rev. Tommy Nelson will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Burroughs Garden of Memories, located on Highway 4 East, Columbia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 3pm until 8pm at the funeral home located at 7131 U S Highway 165, Columbia. Serving as pallbearers will be Sammy Brownell, Jimmy Brownell, Colt Ross,Justin Ross, Danny David, Kenneth David, Frank Martinez, and Aubrey " Huck" Wiggins.
