Obituary of James Fuller
Funeral service for Mr. James R. Fuller, age 83 of Grayson, will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Grayson with Bro. Tommy Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Roads Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia from 5 PM to 8 PM then again Wednesday at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Grayson from noon until time of service.
Mr. Fuller was born on February 8, 1928 in Eros, LA to the union of Albert and Mae Edwards Fuller and passed peacefully to his Heavenly home on September 24, 2011 at his residence. He was a retired Route salesman for FlavoRich Dairies after 37 years of service and was a veteran of the US Army. James was an avid outdoorsman enjoying gardening and keeping his yard mowed and pretty. He liked white perch fishing and deer hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters: Eunice Massey, Edith Hall, Margie Ford and Marie Salsbury and four brothers: Thomas A. Fuller, Talmedge E. Fuller, Aubrey S. Fuller and Bobbie Ray Fuller.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Fuller of Grayson, two sons: Jimmy Fuller and wife, Carol of Monroe and Billy Fuller and wife, Lisa of Pineville, two step-children: Wilbur Dale and wife, Charlotte of Luling and Cindy Sandidge and husband, Curtis Van of Grayson, brother, Calvin E. Fuller and wife, Beverly of Warwick, RI, grandchildren: Cindy Gordon (Jody), James W. "Jim" Fuller, Jr., Amanda Robertson (Brad), Billy Scott Fuller (Kacie), Leah Fuller (fiancé, Jerry), Stephanie Nugent (Joey), Casey Sandidge, Leah Dale and Lane Dale, great-grandchildren: Brittany Marsala (Frankie), Austin Breen, Logan Gordon, Kade Robertson, Alexis Robertson, Layne Verheyden, Karoline Fuller, Peyton Nugent, Parker Nugent, Landon Sandidge and Kate Sandidge, great-great-grandchild, Ryan Marsala, two special friends: Buddy Nugent and Johnny Hester, numerous nieces and nephews and special canine companion, Nellie.
Pallbearers will be Van Sandidge, Scott Fuller, Jim Fuller, Ricky Hatten, Johnny Hester and Joey Nugent.
Any planned memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
