Obituary of Evelyn F. Varnell "Corley"

Evelyn F. Varnell "Corley", age 60, formerly of Winn Parish, currently of Caldwell Parish, passed away September 28, 2011 after a brief illness. Ms. Varnell was born in Monroe, LA to the union of Dock and Avice Ainsworth Varnell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Caldwell Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother James Varnell. Those left to cherish her memory are one son: Lonnie "Lee" Corley, Jr. and wife Tammy of Winnsboro, LA, two daughters: Kimberly Corley and partner Jason Price of Holum, Jennifer Strain and husband Robert of Olla, four brothers: Wayne Varnell and wife Betty of Columbia, Sid Varnell and wife Joyce of Hebert, Billy Varnell and wife Sherry of Kelly, Wren Varnell of Clarks, two sisters: Helen Anderson and husband James of Liddieville and Marie McCoy of Mena, AR, thirteen grandchildren: Johnathon Duncan, Ethan Duncan, Justin Gough, Amanda Smiley, Ryan Ellis, Stephanie Brigmon, Tony Procell, Megan Procell, Madison Strain, Roy Webber, J.C. Webber, Tabby Webber, and Gene Webber, four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Columbia Pentecostal Church 135 Dillon St., Columbia, LA. Services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. David McKeithen officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Pallbearers are Johnathon Duncan, Ethan Duncan, Justin Gough, Eric Varnell, Jim Hudson, Michael Anderson, Jason Dickson, and Travis Simpson.
