Obituary of Maudie Lee Parker
Funeral services for Maudie Lee Best Parker age 86 of Hebert will be held 11:00 AM Monday April 24, 2017 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Best, Bro. Donald Oliveaux and Bro. Danny Chance officiating. The McClanahan Family will minister through song. Interment will follow in the Hebert Cemetery at Hebert, LA. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.
Maudie Lee Best Parker was born on October 16, 1930 at Holly Ridge, LA to the union of her parents Paul A. Best and Gladys Lively Best and she passed from this life on April 22, 2017 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, J.D. Parker, Sr; by an infant baby Sandy Parker; her daughter: Linda Gail Jones and two granddaughters: Brooke Ashley Jones and Jutina Evans. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Columbia.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her daughters: Judy Evans and husband Dennis, Danny Sharbono and Gracie Ellen Rimes all of Hebert; and her sons: James D. Parker Jr and his wife Pam of Columbia; Andy Lee Parker of Hebert and Odis Durwood Parker and wife Brandy of Mangham; a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randall Lowery, Mike Pace, Dewayne Best, Jimmy Dale Sims, Jimmy Hart and David Best. Judith Ann McKee will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
