Obituary of Faye Inez Shipp Harvey

Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Inez Shipp Harvey age 80 of Hebert will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday May 23, 2017 from the sanctuary of Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Rod Shipp officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Monday May 22, 2017 at the Bethany Baptist Church at Hebert  from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Faye Inez Shipp Harvey was born on April 18, 1937 in Caldwell Parish to her parents Lester Shipp and Bertha Duchesne Shipp. She passed into eternity on Sunday May 21, 2017 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia following an extended illness. Faye was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband  M.L. "Jack" Harvey, by her son: Jack Leslie Harvey and by her deceased sister: Lucy Shipp Russell and by eight brothers: Alvin, Shelby, Joe, C.H. ,Roy, Bob, Floyd and Loyd Shipp. Faye was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Cindy Mullenix and husband Dennis of Hebert, son: Marty Harvey of Hebert, her grandsons: Brandon Harvey and wife Paula; and Jonathan Mullenix and wife Candace and Trey Harvey; her granddaughters: Brandy Harvey and friend Jeff Culpepper and Melissa Harvey; and her great-grandchildren: Madison Hearn, Jayden Culpepper and Cameron Augustus; and her sister: Sherry Shipp and numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Shipp, Ricky Shipp, Darrin Shipp, Ethan Emmons, Danny Emmons, and Heath Mott. Honorary pallbearers include: Pete Lively, Louis Mullenix, and Duncan Boyett.
