Obituary of Tommy Ellerbe

Funeral services for Tommy Ellerbe, age 70, of Columbia, will  be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 11, 2017 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Pastor Robbie Alford and Bro. Richard Turnley officiating. Interment will follow at Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Tommy was born January 23, 1947 to the union of Willie Claude and Lucille Fortenberry Ellerbe in Monroe and he passed from this life on December 8, 2017 at Willis Knighten Medical Center in Shreveport.
Tommy served his country in the Army and was in Vietnam. He was a business owner of T & B Logging. He loved fishing and spending time with his family whom he cherished very much. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Donnie Ellerbe and Larry Ellerbe; mother-in-law: Kathleen Ferrand.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Brenda Ellerbe of Columbia; son: Tye Ellerbe and his wife Caroline of Columbia; daughter: Misty Ellerbe of Columbia; sister: Gloria Hart and her husband Billy of Columbia; sisters-in-law: Kay Ellerbe and Barbara Ratcliff and her husband Danny; grandchildren: Railey Kay Ellerbe, Rhett Tye Ellerbe, Ava Kathleen Broussard, Emma Lenora Broussard; a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Arnold, Josh Arnold, Michael Duff, Van Griffin, Chris Hatten, Gabe Hatten, Randy Hatten, and Bill Spangler.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Adams, Jimmy Duff, Billy Fitzgerald, Garland Grant, Pete Smith, Levie Vidrine, and Tommy Brown.
