Obituary of Helen Louise Tyler Duckett
Funeral services for Helen Louise Tyler Duckett age 91 of West Monroe will be held
2:00 PM Thursday March 1, 2018 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Owens officiating. Brother Jack McKeithen will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 12:00PM until time of service at the funeral home.
Helen Louise Tyler Duckett was born on January 18, 1927 at Pineville, LA to the union of her parents Moab Abby Tyler and Mary Agnes Wiley tyler and she passed from this life on February 26, 2018 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness.
Helen was a beauty operator most of her life and was originally a resident of Caldwell Parish. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Aubrey Carl Duckett, her son Carl Louie Duckett and daughter Sandra LaNan Duckett, and her brother Wilbur Burnette Tyler. She and her husband Aubrey were married in 1943.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her daughter Marcia Pettis and husband William S. Pettis of Swartz, her brother Joe Tyler and wife Marie of Columbia, her sister Doris Nell “Dot” Holcomb of Columbia, her grandson Tyler Pettis and wife Olga of Auburn, Alabama,; their three children: Tucker, Ryder and Aubrey James; her granddaughter Sandy Bennett and husband Jason and children Haley and David; her granddaughter Jennifer Fox and husband Jeffery and children Hannah and Cole. Many wonderful friends, other family members and nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Bennett, Jeffery Fox, Tommy Tyler, Jim Rowland, Joe Tyler, and Sam Pettis. Honorary pallbearers include Jodie Juneau Tyler, Dale Green and James Vickery.
