Obituary of Joel Hodges

Memorial services for Mr. Joel Lee Hodges, age 47 of Kelly, will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from the sanctuary of Rosefield Baptist Church with Bro. Bubba Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Rosefield Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening at Rosefield Baptist Church from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mr. Hodges was born on January 28, 1964 in Jena, LA to the union of Wilbur Bryan Hodges and Edna Hyde Hodges and passed from this life on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. He was preceded in death by his father, Bryan Hodges, and sister, Gayla Omega Urena Hodges. Survivors include his mother, Edna Hodges of Kelly, two brothers: John P. Hodges, Sr. of Jena and Samuel H. Hodges and wife, Linda of Rosefield, three sisters: Patty Louis and husband, Ray of Gonzales, LA, Wanda McNamara and husband, Rockney of Oak Ridge, TN and Karen H. North of Rosefield, aunts and uncles: Cleo and Jack Pereira, Cheryl McGuffee, Chloa and Charles Smith, David and Rita Hodges, Sr., fifteen nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
