Obituary of Carl Roy Wyant

Funeral services for Carl Roy Wyant, 63 of Rosefield, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Rosefield Baptist Church with Bro. Elbert Sanson and Bro. James Paul officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Aimwell. Visitation will be Friday from 4-9 PM at the church. Carl was born August 22, 1948 to Thomas Patt and Wilma Sikes Wyant in Jena and he passed from this life on December 29, 2011 at Overton Brook VA Medical Center in Shreveport. He was a truck driver and he served his country in the Navy for 4 years. He loved to farm and raise animals. He was preceded in death by hi father: Thomas Patt Wyant. He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Janice Wyant of Rosefield; two daughters: Carla Ryder and her husband Brent of Rosefield; Barbara Southall and her husband Brad of Tullos; mother: Wilma Sikes Wyant; two brothers: Tommy Wyant of Homer; Clifton Wyant of Brookhaven, MS; two sisters: Phyllis Cavin of Sicily Island; Karen Nugent of Rosefield; four grandchildren: David Ryder, Tracy Ryder, Lakin Southall, and Samantha Southall. Pallbearers will be Brent Ryder, Jamie Wyant, Patrick Cavin, Chris Cavin, Wesley Cavin, and Jefferey Nugent.
