Obituary of Jr. Brown

Funeral services for Bro. James E. Brown, Jr., 81, of Hebert, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Bethany Baptist Church in Hebert with Bro. Robert Phillips, Bro. Mike Walker, and Bro. Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will follow at South Central Baptist Church Cemetery in Wisner. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church. Bro. James was born November 27, 1930 to James E. Brown, Sr. and Jessie Green Brown in Wisner and he passed from this life on January 1, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart. He pastored for 50 years in Louisiana and Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Richard E. Brown; brother: Billy Ray Brown; sister: Peggy Faye Ferrington. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Kathleen Brown of Hebert; son: Jimmy W. Brown and his wife Cindy of Hebert; brother: Gary E. Brown of Georgia; two grandsons: Justin W. Brown and his wife Amber of Houston and Darren L. Brown of Fort Worth. Pallbearers will be Randy Mills, Billy Lane McClanahan, Dave Cobb, Allen Maxwell, Randy Duchesne, Wesley Ezell, Greg Ferrington, and Tyrone Beckley.
