Obituary of Helen Browning

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen A. Humphries Browning age 91 of Olla will be held 11am Monday February 6, 2012 from the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Olla with the Rev. Johnny Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation on Sunday will be at the Riser Funeral Home located at 4823 Main Street 165, Olla, LA from 3pm until 6pm, and on Monday from 10am until time of service at the church. Helen Arnette Humphries Browning was born on November 1, 1920 at Kelly, LA to the union of her parents Bertram G. Humphries and Amanda Warner Humphries. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her siblings, B.G. Humphries, Jr.; Terry Humphries, George Humphries, Wilton Humphries, Kenneth Humphries, Aubrey Humphries, Thelma Humphries, Lottie Humphries Miller, Mae Humphries Mayes, Cassie Humphries Powell, Ora Humphries, Neina Humphries Brown, and infant twins Clyde and Clara Humphries. Mrs. Browning was known for the wonderful smile she shared with everyone around her, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olla. Survivors include: Her husband, William E. "Bill" Browning of Olla, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins , and friends. The Browning Family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you to the Lasalle Nursing Center in Jena for the love , care, and devotion shown to Mrs. Browning during her stay there, and also to Hardtner Medical Center in Urania for the level of excellence in care received while she was a patient there.
