Obituary of Dorothy Moore

Funeral services for Dorothy Moore, age 89 of Hebert, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Bethany Baptist Church in Hebert with Bro. Don Wright and Bro. Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday starting at 5 PM at the church. Services are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Dorothy was born on February 14, 1923 to Murphy Wilson and Inez McClanahan in Columbia and she passed from this life on February 15, 2012 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Hebert and she loved to crochet. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Luther "Buddy" Moore; sister: Eleanor Tillman; brother: Henry Wilson; two grandchildren; Kim Tyler and Paula Tyler. She is survived by her daughter: Fran Tyler and her husband Marvin of Hebert; brother: Mike McClanahan of Columbia; sister: Elaine Vestal and her husband David of West Monroe; three grandchildren: Tim Tyler and his wife Wendy; Dee Tyler; Hope Kenney and her husband Spencer; Four great-grandchildren: Shelby Tyler, Cole Tyler, Tyler Kenney, and Taylor Kenney. Pallbearers will be Bennie Washam, Larry Lofton, Cody Clark, Billy Joe Poole, Mike McClanahan, and Tim Mullenix;
