Obituary of Jr. Callender

Funeral services for Charles M. "Bud" Callender, Jr., age 64 of Olla, will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla. Interment will follow at New Union Cemetery in Tullos. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 PM to 8 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Olla. Mr. Callender was born on July 9, 1947 in Urania, LA to the union of Charles M. Callender, Sr. and Hardy Tiffee Callender and passed from this life on Monday, February 20, 2012 at his residence. Bud worked in the timber industry and enjoyed fishing and hunting when he could. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tommy Callender. Survivors include his brother, Richard Callender and wife, Vivian of Alberta, Canada; sister, Dorothy Snider and husband, Mark of Richmond, VA; nieces and nephews: Phillip Callender, Jason Callender, Brad Callender, Kim Austin, Jill Patton, Chad Callender and Shannon Callender and special friends: Tammy Cruse, Ken Volentine, Linda Weaver, Mary Thomas, Nancy Holmes, Wanda Coleman, Danny Holmes, Larry Holmes, Doreatha Woodard, Michael Gonzales and Savannah Cruse. Pallbearers will be Chad Callender, Jason Callender, Leroy Woodard, Corey Bailey, Phillip Callender and Michael Volentine. Honorary pallbearer will be Ken Volentine.
