Obituary of Faye Harris

Funeral services for Faye B. Harris of Columbia, LA will be held Thursday March 8, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Grayson Baptist Church. Dr. B. Gray Allison and Bro. Glenn Meredith will be officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, LA under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Mrs. Harris was born July 1, 1924 and passed away March 4, 2012. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Kenneth R. Harris as well as her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Sam Beard and her brother, Dalton Beard. Her family includes her son Stan Harris & his wife Marsha of Columbia; her two grandchildren, Meredith and Jonathan Harris both of New York, New York; sister, Freida Adams Brian and her three children, Mike and Brent Adams and Liese Faye Adams Borden, along with their children and a special cousin Dan L. Bennett; also, her sitters, who lovingly attended to her, Aurora Haley, Sue Moore, Vickie Alger, and Vicky Denison. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Harris, Brent Adams, Burl Luscombe, Monty Adams, Ron Wyant, and Glenn Meredith. Honorary pallbearers include Allen Anthony, Jackie Barrett, Elgin McFadden, Dean Meredith, Jerry Meredith, and Alston Nelson. Visitation will be at the Riser Funeral Home located at 7131 U S Highway 165 in Columbia on Wednesday evening March 7, from 4:30 until 7:30pm.
