Obituary of Wanda Sue Bratton Ford
Funeral services for Wanda Sue Bratton Ford, 62, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery in Kelly. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Wanda was born August 25, 1949 to Millard and Wanda James Bratton in Columbia and she passed from this life on April 2, 2012 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. She was an LPN who previously worked for the Columbia State School, Winnsboro Medical Center, and Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. She was very outgoing and was loved by many. She was the only girl with five brothers growing up. She had polio at an early age and it taught her how to be tough and she didn't let it hold her back. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Charles William Ray Armstrong; brother: Douglas Bratton; sister: Shirley Faye Bratton. She is survived by her daughter: Angela Graham of Mangham; son: Joe Millard Hatten and his wife Misty of Olympia, WA; four brothers: Larry Bratton, Paul Bratton, Roger Bratton, and Delain Bratton; five grandchildren: Michael A. Ford, Hunter L. Ford, Crystal Esquibel, Whitney Francis, and Joseph C. Hatten; four great-grandchildren: Sadie Grace Ford, Ava Elise Ford, Rachel Grace Van Pay, and Kayden Elizabeth Hatten. Pallbearers will be Ray Bratton, Craig Hatten, Zack Miller, Jason Ford, Lee Bratton, Aubrey Bratton, Mitch Bratton and Perry VanBuren. Honorary pall bearers will be James Esquibel and Ken Francis.
