Obituary of Patrick Bass

Graveside funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday April 15, 2012 at the Good Hope Cemetery at Kelly under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.Brother Robert McKeithen will officiate with Joseph Bryant bringing the eulogy. Visitation will be on Saturday evening April 14 from 4pm until 9pm at Riser Funeral Home located at 7131 U S Highway 165, Columbia. Patrick Arthur Bass was born on May 31, 1955 at Olla, LA to his parents Edward Monroe Bass and Grace Avery Bass. He passed from this life on April 12, 2012 at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. Patrick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a very simple man, loved the simple things in life, and lived and preferred a simplified life. Patrick was an avid sportsman, having loved all types of hunting and fishing, and shared that love with his sons and family. He was a pickup truck man. Left to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Deborah Givens Bass of Kelly; three sons, Samuel Edward Bass and wife Maria of Columbia; Patrick Dewayne Bass and wife Courtney Cheyenne of West Monroe; and Gregory Russell Shryock Bass and wife Ashley of West Monroe. He also leaves his precious grandchildren Emory Grace Bass, Gabriel Shryock, Madison Shryock, and Ryland Raine Bass, and extended family, Ted, Nelly Vern, Steve, Phil, and Lisa Finley, all of Arcadia. Pallbearers include: Sammy Crain, Everett Cornwell, Bud Miller, Dustin Copeland, Jason Givens, and Randal Miller.
