Obituary of Fannie Dent

Funeral services for Fannie Lea Thomason Dent, age 91, of Hebert will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday April 24, 2012 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Don Wright officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Fannie was born November 10, 1920 to George and Annie Lea Thomason in Alto, LA and she passed from this life on April 19, 2012 at St. Francis North Hospital in Monroe. She served her country in the Army during WWII. She was a retired RN and was a member of AORN. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Hebert. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles W. Dent, Jr.; her parents; sister: Georgie Bradberry; brother-in-law: George Bradberry. She is survived by her son: Chuck W. Dent, III and his wife Annelle of Omaha, NE; sister: Helen Roy and her husband Raymond of Columbia; two grandchildren: Jennifer Lea Anderson and Eric P. Dent of Omaha; great grandson: Trebor Anderson of Omaha; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Pallbearers will be Joel Strickland, Michael Roy, Randy Reynolds, Billy Joe Poole, Eric Dent, and Josh Dent. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Roy and Hollis Strickland.
