Obituary of Olive Powell Braddock

Funeral services for Mrs. Olive Powell Braddock, age 92 of Denham Springs formerly of Olla, LA, will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 27, 2012 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA with Bro. David McGuffee officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday at Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA from 12 PM until time of services. Mrs. Braddock was born on March 7, 1920 in Olla, LA to the union of Floyd Quinton and Pearl Moore Blake and went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 25, 2012 at Harvest Manor Nursing Home in Denham Springs, LA. She was a member of Pinehill Baptist Church and the Olla Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse A. Powell; two sons: Jimmy Powell and John Alford Powell and two brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jackie Stewart and husband, Reggie; son, Rocky Powell and wife, Connie; daughter-in-law, Jeanne B. Powell all of Denham Springs; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rocky Powell, Randy Powell, Reggie Stewart and Ricky Powell.
