Obituary of Ellen Wyant
Funeral services for Ellen L. Wyant will be held 2pm Monday May 14, 2012 from the sanctuary of Holum Baptist Church, east of Grayson. Rev. Buford Brady and Rev. Winston McCarty will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Sunday evening May 13, at the funeral home from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Ellen L. Wyant was born on January 17, 1944 to the union of her parents Clayton and Jessie Brown Oliveaux, and passed from this life on Saturday May 12, 2012 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe following an extended illness. She was a member of the Holum Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Wyant of Columbia, her children, Lori Garlington and husband Robert, of Monroe; Sharon Dallalio, of Baton Rouge, Calvin H. "C.H." Smith, Jr; of Columbia; Dewayne Smith and wife Sabrina, of Baton Rouge; James Smith and wife Amy, of Oklahoma, and Aubrey Wyant of Columbia. She is also survived by her step-children, Ronald Wyant and wife Pat, of Columbia; Therion Wyant and wife Mary, of West Monroe; and Jamie Wyant and wife Linda, of Waskom, Texas; her brothers and sisters, Joyce Canterberry and husband Floyd, of Grayson; Billy Oliveaux and wife Frances, of Columbia; Jerry Oliveaux of Columbia; and Frank Oliveaux and wife GiGi, of Vivian Virginia; her grandchildren, Kacey Roberts, Justin Roberts, Faren Wise, Logan Dallalio, Serena Smith, Michael Smith, Daniel Smith, Dylan Smith ,Haley Garlington, and Heather Garlington; her great-grandchildren, Tanner Roberts, Brianna Roberts, and Gavin Davis. Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Robertson, Robert Garlington, Justin Roberts, Logan Dallalio, Chris McBroom, and Steven Canterberry. Ben Milton will serve as honorary pallbearer.
