Obituary of Robert Humphries

Funeral services for Robert Glenn Humphries, age 68 of Grayson, LA will be held 1:00 pm Monday June 25, 2012 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home. Rev. Denver McBroom and Rev. Shad Tibbs will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Adams Cemetery at Kelly. Visitation will be on Sunday June 24 from 4 to 9pm at Riser Funeral Home located at 7131 U S Highway 165, Columbia. Glenn was born June 22, 1944 at Kelly, LA; to the union of his parents George Hubert Humphries and Mavis Eubanks Humphries. He passed from this life on Saturday June 23, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, and by his daughter, Cathy Faye Humphries Strickland. Mr. Humphries was a retired Production Operator with Island Operating Company, and a member of Standard Baptist Church in Olla. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Wanda Marie Brown Humphries; his daughters, Teresa Humphries Roberts and husband Brian of Grayson, LA; Beverly Humphries Coates and husband Steven of Calhoun, LA; Paula Humphries Bratton and husband James of Olla, LA; his son Kevin Glenn Humphries and wife Pleasants of Grayson; his grandchildren: Jamie Roberts Lee, Coty Roberts, Kyle Roberts, Trey Wray, Kaitlyn Bratton, Emily Bratton, Alexa Humphries, and Brianna Janes. His great-grandchildren, Parker, Leevi, Reagan, Mckenna, Rease, Macy, Ashlynn, Avory, Cameron, and Kathan; his brothers, George Hulon Humphries, Jeffery Humphries, Larry Humphries, Steve Humphries, and Tracy Humphries. Pallbearers include Trey Wray, Kyle Roberts,Lance Humphries,Jordan Humphries, Dewayne Humphries, and Roy Dean Humphries.. Honorary pallbearers include Coty Roberts and Bobby Andrews.
