Obituary of Sr. Temple

Funeral services for Mr. Floyd "Bay" Temple, Sr., age 81 of Urania, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 12, 2012 from the sanctuary of Olla Pentecostal Church in Olla, LA with Bro. Jonathan Crist officiating and Bro. Clay Hutto delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Urania Cemetery in Urania, LA. Visitation will be Saturday evening, August 11, 2012, at Olla Pentecostal Church from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mr. Temple was born on June 11, 1931 in Winnsboro, LA to the union of Mack C. Temple and Dora Walters Temple and passed from this life on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at LaSalle Nursing Center in Jena, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Nettie Marie Kerrigan Temple and his brothers: Aubrey Temple, Willard Temple, Olin Temple, Earl Temple and his twin, Lloyd "Cooter" Temple. Survivors include his three sons: Floyd Temple, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Tullos, Glen Edward Temple and wife, Gladys of Tullos and Ronnie Joel Temple and wife, Sheila of Olla; daughter, Velma Joyce Joiner and husband, Allen of Urania; brother, E.J. Temple and wife, Wrethel of Winnsboro; sister, Tennie Tomlin of Oregon; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Donnie Taylor, Hodge Sullivan, Cody Sullivan, Greg Bassett, John Meredith, Dewayne Ewing and Michael Walters. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons: Matt Joiner, Joe Temple, Josh Temple, Jacob Temple and Zack Dickey.
