Obituary of Jr. Cumpton

Funeral services for Larry E. Cumpton, Jr., age 41 of Hebert, will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. David Shirley officiating. Interment will follow at Gwin Cemetery in Mangham. Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. The funeral home will be open from 8 AM until time of service on Tuesday. Mr. Cumpton was born on June 4, 1971 in Monroe, LA to the union of Larry Edward Cumpton, Sr. and Barbara Ann Crofoot Cumpton and passed from this life on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville. Larry was a man of many passions. He loved his children and taking them camping. He enjoyed tinkering with lawnmovers, trucks and four-wheelers. He especially likes riding his four-wheeler. "He worked as a deliveryman for Lowe's. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Cumpton and his grandparents: Vernon Crofoot, Myrtle and Ed Cumpton, Ermal and Betty Crossfield, Billy Wayne and Mary Pike. Survivors include his wife, Andrea Cumpton of Hebert; son, Garrett Edward Cumpton; daughter, Hannah Grace Cumpton; father, Larry Cumpton, Sr. of Mangham; sisters: Leisa Jones and husband, Willie, Bridgette Morgan and husband, Clay; grandmother, Pauline Crofoot; in-laws: Brenda and Glen Jackson, Gary and Jewell Crossfield; nieces: Destiny Jones and Mattie Kay Jones; nephews: Logan Smith and Garrett Morgan and host of extended aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Josh Krin, Chris Krin, Matt Krin, Travis Stephenson, Buddy Green, Keith Brister, Smoky Dean and Mitchell Dean.
