Obituary of Anthony Perot

Funeral services for Anthony D. "Tony" Perot, age 65, of Gilmer, Texas and formerly of Columbia, will be held 2pm Thursday September 6, 2012 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Whittington officiating . Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery at Grayson. Visitation will be on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at the funeral home from 3pm to 9pm. Anthony D. Perot was born on May 20, 1947 at Monroe, LA ; to the union of his parents, Dempsey Perot and Annie Irene Barras Perot ; and passed from this life on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, TX following a brief illness. Known to everyone as Tony, he was preceded in death by his parents, and by his son, Darryl Perot, and five infant grandchildren .Tony was employed presently with Willbroe's Construction in Houston, Texas; a pipeline industry company. He was a member of the American Pipeliners Association, an avid Golfer and Hunter, and a Workaholic. Tony was loved and appreciated by everyone who knew him, and he will be sorely missed. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sheila Perot of Gilmer, TX ; his daughter Dasha Perot and friend Jean' Holloway of Gladewater, Texas; his son, Damon Perot and friend Loretta Tucker of Longview, Texas; two brothers, Michael Perot and wife Susie of Baton Rouge, LA and O.V. Perot of Monroe; his sister, Phyllis Ann Lachney and husband Mark, Forest Hill, LA ; his sister-in-law ,Debbie Sanderfer and husband Ted, of Corpus Christi, Texas; his beloved grandchildren, Kade Perot, Makayla Perot, Kale Perot, and Olivia Perot, his nephew , Byron Sanderfer and wife Misty of San Antonio, Texas; and his niece Jennifer Mayes and husband Brian, of Parker, Colorado, and a very special family friend, Donna Sue Carr of Columbia. Pallbearers include Bud Womack, Dell Davis, Robert Sumerall, Matt Cheney, Kenny Robbins, Eddie Raburn, Ray Maclaren, Roger Midkiff, Steve Sims, and Eddie Carr. Honorary pallbearers include Harold Peters, Darrell Delcoure, Al Demoss, Raymond Johnson, Scott Davis,and Jerry Lewis. .
