Obituary of Violet Hill

Violet Ester (Hatten) Hill passed from this life on Sunday October 21, 2012 at Byrd Hospital in Leesville, Louisiana . Known affectionately as "Vi", she was born on December 16, 1944 in Pasadena, Texas to her loving parents, William Brown Hatten and Eula Lowery Hatten Curry. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her brother Ellis Hatten, and by her niece Kimberly Wallett. The Hill Family will gather at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, to honor "Vi" in a Memorial Service at 11:00am on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Visitation will begin at 9am Saturday and continue until time of service. Vi's survivors include, her son Christopher Jason Morrell of Adams Center, New York; five brothers, David Hatten of Delhi, Leo Hatten of Elizabethtown, PA; Wesley Hatten and Mike Hatten both of West Monroe; and Buck Curry of Delhi; four sisters, Erma Lee Hoggatt and husband Ronald of Leesville, LA; Lena Phillipi of West Monroe, Jessie Johnson of Vinton, LA; and Jamie Hatten of Corpus Christi, Texas, three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins, and wonderful friends.
