Obituary of Woodrow Curry

Woodrow Wilson Curry, age 95, of Columbia, LA and a former resident of Hillsboro, Texas; passed from this life on October 31, 2012 at the Columns Nursing Center in Jonesville, LA. Services locally in Columbia are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. A graveside service will be announced later this week by Marshall & Marshall Funeral Home of Hillsboro, Texas. Born May 14, 1917 at Hillsboro, Texas; to the union of his parents, the late Lum Matthew Curry and Carrie Rowland Curry, Mr. Curry was a Veteran of World War II, having served bravely in the United States Army; and he was preceded in death by his father and by a grandson Damon Boudreaux, and retired as a Longshoreman , and was employed with Brown & Root for many years. Survivors include his beloved wife, Nita Jo (Jones) Curry of Columbia; one son, Buster Curry and wife Jane of Columbia; his daughter, Jody Wilson and husband Ted of Plainview, Texas; and one grandson, Darren M.
