Obituary of Muriel Claunch

Funeral services for Muriel Bernice Haglund Claunch, age 83 of Grayson, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from the sanctuary of Grayson Baptist Church in Grayson, LA with Bro. James Carson and Bro. Jay Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at Grayson Baptist Church from 5 PM to 8 PM and again Wednesday morning from 9 AM until time of services. Mrs. Claunch was born on June 7, 1929 in Isle, MN to the union of Gustave Herman Haglund and Myrtle Miller Haglund and passed to her Heavenly home on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. She was a devoted member of Grayson Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her many friends at the Caldwell Parish Council on Aging were she was a vital participant. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Ray Claunch and two sisters: Isobel Addington and Dorothy Roeschlien. Survivors include her son Richard Claunch and wife, Frances of Columbia; daughter, Debbie Boyd and husband, C.H. Of Clarks; brother, Roger Haglund and wife, Faye of Isle, MN; special niece, Jackie Haglund of Isle, MN; four grandchildren: Michelle Horyczun and husband, Donald, Kimberly Butler and husband, Greg, Faith Smith and husband, Steven and Heath Boyd and wife, Heather: six great-grandchildren: Hayleigh Boyd, Hadley Boyd, Hunter Boyd, Jonathan Horyczun, Rebecca Horyczun, Christopher Horyczun and a seventh grandchild on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lyn Meredith, Randy Hatten, John McKeithen, Heath Boyd, Steven Smith and C.H. Boyd. Memorials may be made to Grayson Baptist Church, PO Box 359, Grayson, LA 71435. Also, any food items for the family may be taken to Grayson Baptist Church.
