Obituary of Sr. Hodges

Funeral services for John P. Hodges, Sr., 54 of Rosefield, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 26, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Bubba Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Rosefield Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. John was born May 14, 1958 in Columbia to Edna Hyde and Wilbur Bryan Hodges and he passed from this life on January 23, 2013 at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. He loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his father: Wilbur Bryan Hodges; brother: Joel Hodges; sister: Gayla Hodges. He is survived by his mother: Edna Hyde Hodges of Rosefield; two sons: Little John Hodges, Jr. and his wife Ericka of Rosefield; Damieon Hodges and his wife Misty of Tioga; two daughters: Jennifer Hodges Davis and her husband Frank of Tioga; Sarah Hodges Arrington and her husband Philip of Aransas Pass, TX; brother: Sam Hodges; three sisters: Patty Louis, Wanda McNamara, and Karen North; thirteen grandchildren: Caitlyn McGuffee, Desteni Hodges, Mystique Davis, Angelique Davis, Levi Hodges, Kloei Hodges, Genevieve Davis, William Arrington, Hailey Hodges, Deacon Arrington, Emalei Hodges, Arriana Davis, and Raynie Arrington. Pallbearers will be Bubba Townsend, Shane Townsend, Shad Proffer, Tommy Barbo, Olan Coolman, and Warren Wise.
