Obituary of Clyde Ray Procell
Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Ray Procell, 89 of Vixen, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday June 18, 2011 at Cypress Baptist Church in West Monroe. Rev. Larry Eubanks will be officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral of Columbia.
Mr. Procell was born April 11, 1922 in Natchitoches, and he passed away June 15, 2011 at home with his wife, Sue, at his side. He was a member of Cypress Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Buckey Ray; one sister and four brothers; and his pal BJ.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Sue; daughter, Jamey Mayo of Hemphill, Texas; grandchildren, Jared and Jewelie Perkins; special nephew, Brad Puetz of Baton Rouge; several nieces and nephews; seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Procell was a retired employee of Shell Oil Company; and Pro's Grocery in Vixen. He was a Master Mason for more than 50 years.
He was a member of Vixen Hunting Club for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and dealing with cattle.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Lenard, Bo Mayo, Marty Spangler, Mark Beard, and James King.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Lenard, and Ray Floyd.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2011 at Cypress Baptist Church in West Monroe.
