Obituary of Henrietta Richmond

Funeral services for Henrietta Holmes Richmond, 79 of Columbia, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday July 27, 2011 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with grandson Travis Sanders and great nephew Craig Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Henrietta was born December 25, 1931 to Joe C. and Dorlis Finley Holmes in Columbia and she passed from this life on July 24, 2011 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. She was an active member of Bellview Baptist Church in Columbia. She loved to sing in the choir. She also loved to read, quilt, sew, and travel. She loved flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband: Maurice Richmond; her parents; granddaughter: Carla McGraw. She is survived by two sons: Bill Richmond and his wife Glynna of Grayson; Tim Richmond and his wife Sharon of Grayson; four daughters: Margaret McGraw and her husband John of West Monroe; Pam Sanders and her husband Vernon of Columbia; Nancy Crockett and her husband Wren of Grayson; Mary Jane Rogers and her husband Ron of Columbia; brother: Benny Joe Holmes and his wife Sheila of Columbia; four sisters: Josie Richmond of Columbia; Mary Holmes of Columbia; Betty Byrd of Houma; Aileene Hancock of Caboul, MO; fifteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Daniel Binkley, Bryon Sanders, Matthew Richmond, Seth Richmond, Bobby Crockett, and Thomas Rogers. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons: Andy Binkley, Sam Sanders, Reece Sanders, Cricket Crockett, and Lucas Rogers.
