Riser Funeral Home Olla, Louisiana Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Holmes Cole age 86 of Jackson, MS will be held 11:30am Monday August 22, 2011 graveside at the Zion Hill Cemetery, west of Olla. Services are under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla, where visitation will be held on Monday morning from 10:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home. Born Jewell Helen Jones on June 2, 1925 , to the union of her parents Joseph Levi Jones and Lottie Idella Faulk; she passed from this life on Friday August 19, 2011 at the Hospice Ministry's Center in Ridgeland, Ms. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, Edwin R. Holmes, Jr. and Francis Cole, and by her sister: Opal Jones Taylor. She was an active member of the Friendship Baptist Church in McComb, MS. Survivors include two sisters, Lois Rigdon of Olla and Geraldine Thurber of Jackson; three brothers, Joseph Levi Jones, Jr of Jonesboro; D. E. Jones of Olla, and John David Jones of Winnfield.
