Obituary of Marjorie Meleese Sellers

Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Meleese Mauterer Sellers, age 90, of Olla will be held 2pm Wednesday August 24, 2011 from the sanctuary of Olla United Methodist Church with Rev. Doctor Paul Curtis Carroll and Rev. Aaron Carpenter officiating, with Rev. Betsy Honeycutt to deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery at Olla under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. The Mauterer-Sellers Family will receive guests on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8pm at the Olla United Methodist Church. Born Marjorie Meleese Miller on April 26, 1921 at Kelly, La. to the union of her parents Ray Thomas Miller and Lottie E. Humphries Miller, she passed from this life on Monday August 22, 2011 at the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. She was an active member of her church, Olla United Methodist , and was preceded in death by her two husbands Kenneth Paul Mauterer, Sr. ; and Denzel Sellers. Survivors include her son, Dr. Kenneth Paul Mauterer, Jr and wife Pam of Olla; and her daughter, Sissy Duke and husband Mike of Olla; also her brother, Ray Bernard Miller of Olla. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren; Michael Lynn Duke and wife Alisha, Timothy Wayne Duke and wife Stacy, Tina Mauterer, Kellie Hall and husband Jeremy, Sarah Mauterer, Dustin Rogers, and Ashley Cockerham and husband T. C. Pallbearers include Jeffrey Lasiter,Timmy Duke,Michael Lynn Duke, Todd Long, Bull Barnhill, Randy McCarty, and Jacque Derr. Honorary pallbearers include George Hulon Humphries, Larry Dean Humphries, Steve Humphries, Tracy Humphries, Jeffrey Humphries, and Glenn Humphries. In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Olla.
