Obituary of Charles Hancock

Funeral services for Tom Hancock, age 75, of Mountain Grove, MO and formerly of Caldwell Parish will be held at 2PM Saturday, October 10,2009 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home. Bro. Jim Goodman will be officiating and interment will follow at the Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks, La. The Hancock Family will receive visitors on Saturday from 1:00PM until time of service. Charles Tom Hancock was born on May 4, 1933 in Winnsboro, LA to the union of his parents, the late Butler Hancock and Anna Marie Byrnes Hancock. Tom was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed working with his horses and four-wheeler riding. He was a retired employee with Iron Workers Local #84 in Houston, TX. Tom was also an active member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Mountain Grove, Mo. Survivors include his wife, Aileene (Holmes) Hancock of Mt. Grove, MO, two Daughters: Nina (Hancock) Murphy and husband, T.R. of Cabool, MO, and Ann Vaughan and husband, Jerry, of Houston, TX, two brothers: Jerls Hancock, of Houston, TX and Kenneth Hancock, of Magnolia, TX, three grandchildren: Emily Karisny and husband, Stacy, Michelle Agado and husband, Frank,and Gary Wayne Vaughn, and 8 Great-grandchildren: Ryan, Megan, Kaitlyn, Kara, Jena, Marissa, Autumn, and Sydney. Serving as pallbearers will be: T.R. Murphy, John Reitzell, Frank Agado, Stacy Karisny, Bill Richmond, and Wren Crockett. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Legg, Bennie Holmes, Gary Vaughan, and Ryan Shively.
