Obituary of Claude Johnson

Funeral Services for Mr. Claude C. Johnson, 76, of Kelly, will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia with Eugene Dunn delivering the eulogy and Rev. officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Johnson passed from this life on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, in Cornerstone Hospital of West Monroe. He was a service specialist with Trans LA and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Johnson was also a member of the Lions Club of Columbia. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lurlean Johnson and his wife, Mrs. Pauline Gaylor Johnson. Survivors include his son, Glenn Johnson of Kelly; Brothers and sisters-in-law Jimmie and Barbara Gaylor of Grayson, Linda Gaylor and Tommy Giovingo of West Monroe, Donna Gaylor Chilton and husband Mike of Swartz; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends as well special nephew Jimmy Gaylor, Jr. of Luthersville, GA. Active and honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Lions Club of Columbia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
