Obituary of Sr. Gregory

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Lee Gregory, Sr., age 73 of Granbury, TX, will be 11 AM Sunday, November 29, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Stacey Pitman officiating. Interment will follow at Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening at the funeral home from 5 PM to 8 PM. Mr. Gregory was born in Columbia on December 18, 1935 to the union of Jack Dean Gregory, Sr. and Elma Elizabeth Coates Gregory and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham, TX. He worked as an electrician for Texas Utilities and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury. He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers: Huey Gregory, Jim Gregory and Jack Gregory, Jr. Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years; Donna White Gregory of Granbury, son; Jerry Lee Gregory, Jr. and wife, Michelle of Bonham, TX, two daughters: Gina Ruskey and husband Alan "Buddy", Sr. of Alvin, TX and Tiffany Dupont and husband, Dale of Mineola, TX, four brothers: Wayne Gregory and wife, Emma of Benton, LA, Don Gregory and wife, Mary of Columbia, Leonard Gregory and wife, Katie Mae of Columbia and Bob Gregory and wife, Barbara of Kelly, sister; Elsie McLemore and husband, J.R. of Conroe, TX, nine grandchildren: Brittany Gregory, Courtney Dupont, Michael Gregory, Alan Ruskey, Jr., Jessica Dupont, Kayla Gregory, Matthew S. Gregory, Dalton Dupont and Clayton Ruskey and two great-grandchildren; Melaina Gregory and Grayson Dupont. Pallbearers will be Dustin White, Drew White, Alan Ruskey, Jr., Seth Gregory, Lynn McLemore, David Gregory, Fred Tutt and Michael Gregory. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Dupont, Matthew S. Gregory and Clayton Ruskey. In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
