Obituary of Clifford Teal
Clifford Charles Teal A retired construction worker and mechanic with many years of service, he died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. He was 61, a resident of Port Allen and native of Crosby, Miss. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, on Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with sharing of memories at 7 p.m. to whomever would like to speak. Graveside service at Little Star Cemetery, Holum, on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m., conducted by his wife and companion of 40 years. Interment in Little Star Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Survived by his wife, Rustie Grant-Teal; three daughters, Brenda, Toshi and Tracy; three sons, Joe, Charles and Ernie; four sisters, Hazel Burns and husband Ted, Jeannette Blanchard, Pauline Davidson and husband Jerry "Big Daddy," and Nellie Churchwell and husband Bruce; two brothers, J.P. Teal and wife Dorthy, and John Teal and wife Sandy; a very special niece, Callie Grant who called him Paw Paw; six grandchildren, Shandy, Rustie, Peanut, Dillon, Damon and Dade; three great-grandchildren, Mikey, Allie and Chance "Moose." A host of neices and nephews, too many to list, who all loved him dearly and he them. Pallbearers will be Hank Davidson, Tommy Ray Davidson, Jeffrey Teal, Jacob Teal, John Blanchard and Brad Teal. Honorary pallbearers are Ernie Teal, Cody Davidson and Ken McMorris and Joe Teal. Preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Nellie Teal; and three brothers, Leonard Starr, Robert Rogers and Jimmy Teal; two sisters, Flora Starr and Geraldine Netterville. . He was a self-taught mechanic, a jack-of-all-trades and master of many. He loved his family very much. Special thanks to Marie Munley for her kindness and attentativeness.
