Obituary of Bobbie Hall

Funeral services for Mr. Bobbie Jack Hall, age 78 of Columbia, will be 2 PM Monday, January 4, 2010 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Mr. Hall was born in Monroe on February 22, 1933 to the union of Henry Hall and Emma Lee May Gorham Hall and went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at his residence. He attended First United Methodist Church in Columbia. Bobbie was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Navy. He retired with the United States Postal Service after 32 years of dedicated service. Bobbie was and outdoor enthusiast and avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Billy Ray Hall. Survivors include his wife of 55 years; Jerry Humphreys Hall of Columbia, daughter; Kathy Hall Hopkins and husband, David of West Monroe, son; Jack Brian Hall and wife, Barbara of Hebert, grandchildren: Claire Hopkins Smith and husband, Darrin, Jesse Brian Hall and wife, Jessica, Sarah Beth Hopkins and Annie Hall and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jess Hall, Darrin Smith, Autry Reid, John Patterson, Paul Tyson and Danny Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Byrd, Glenn Ainsworth, Ray Hopper and Tom Gay.
