Obituary of John Lee

Funeral services for John H. Lee age 90 of Columbia will be held 10AM Monday Jan. 25,2010 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. The Lee Family will receive guests on Sunday evening from4:30 until 9PM at Riser Funeral Home located at 7131 U S Hwy 165 in Columbia. John Henry Lee, one of seven siblings, born to the union of Hylton Horrie and Elizabeth Rolen Lee was born on January 25, 1919 in Winn Parish. He passed from this life on January 22, 2010 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, by three sisters: Marteal Lewellyan , Mable Manley, and Clara Lale. Also by his sister-in-law Georgia McClary Lee, his niece C. Pamela Lee, and great nephew Cory Laird. Mr. Lee was a proud Veteran of World War II and a member of the Sandy Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include:His sister: Voncille Marrs, Meade,Kansas. Two brothers: H.L. Lee of Columbia; and Robert J. Lee and wife Janice of Columbia. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be: Glenn Lee, Justin Lee, Colby Laird, Randy Lovett, Ron Lewellyan, and Eric Poole.
