Obituary of Mollie Claunch

Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Lucille Breithaupt Claunch, age 93 of Grayson, will be held at 11 AM Monday, February 1, 2010 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Jimmy Goodman officiating and John Reitzel delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Rhinehart, LA. Visitation will be Sunday evening at the funeral home from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mrs. Claunch was born in LaVacca, LA on September 10, 1916 to the union of Charles and Leruey Scarborough Breithaupt and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son; Donald Ray Claunch, granddaughter; Amber Christine Claunch, grandson; Kevin E. Claunch and six siblings. Survivors include her husband of 75 years; Beverly F. Claunch, three sons: Charles E. Claunch and wife, Dina of Santa Fe, TX, Jerry P. Claunch and wife, Shirley of Las Cruces, NM and Robert E. Claunch and wife, Bonnie of Texas City, TX, three sisters: Avie Bird of Jena, Eleanor Jackson of Jena and Sally Crooks of Queen City, TX, granddaughter; Paula Farkas of Broomfield, CO, three grandsons: Scott Claunch of Albuqurque, NM, Robert Claunch, Jr. of Alvin, TX and Anthony Claunch of Galveston, TX, great-grandchildren: Marissa Claunch, Amber Ryese Claunch, Eli Farkas, Hannah Farkas, Leaha Claunch, Tyler Claunch, Austin Claunch and Ryan Claunch and great-great-grandchild; Myla Garza. Pallbearers will be Scott Claunch, Robert Claunch, Jr., Anthony Claunch, Tommy Phillips, Charles Bird and Russell Price.
