Obituary of Marjorie Miller

Funeral services for Marjorie Lynn Meadors Miller will be held at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia,LA on Wednesday Feb. 24,2010 at 10:00AM. The Rev. Dale Farley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23 at Riser Funeral Home from 4:30PM until 9PM. Marjorie Lynn Meadors Miller was born November 1, 1961 in McPherson, Kansas to the union of Andrew Jack Meadors and Myrtis McDonald Meadors. She passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center. Lynn graduated from Caldwell Parish High School in 1979 and from Louisiana Tech University in 1988 with a BS in psychology. She worked 20 years in the mental health field. She was an avid Caldwell Spartan, New Orleans Saints, and LSU Tiger fan. She was also an animal lover. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Charlie and Lottie Brown McDonald, and Ashley Jack and Thelma Jordan Meador. She is survived by her father Andrew Jack Meadors of Grayson,LA, mother Myrtis Meadors Murphy and husband Charles of Columbia,LA. , brother Cletus Andy Meadors and wife Joyce of Kingston, Arkansas, sisters: Cindy Talbert and husband James , and Sarah Meadors both of Grayson, LA. Nephew; Jimmy Meadors, Nieces, Crystal Meadors, Mandy Meadors, Bridgett Dannehl, Jamie Talbert, and Holly Talbert. Godson: Shonna Williams of Monroe, LA ; Goddaughter: Lesha Cutright of Natchitoches, LA , Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and three beloved pets, Snow , Dixie, and Thumper. Pallbearers will be her cousins Russell Meador, Jason Meador, Stanley Sweet, Dwight Rogers, Billy Ellis, Bobby Ellis, Brandon Rogers, and Harris Clark.
