Obituary of Pauline McDougald

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Scott McDougald, age 95 of Olla, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 6, 2010 from the sanctuary of Olla First Baptist Church with Rev. Woodie Rimes, Rev. Milton Wilson and Rev. Dale Windham officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening at Riser Funeral Home in Olla from 5 PM to 9 PM and the doors will be open Saturday morning from 8 AM until 12 PM. Mrs. McDougald was born on September 27, 1914 in Smackover, AR to the union of Jesse Joe Scott and Nellie Freeman Scott. She went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at LaSalle Nursing Center in Jena. Mrs. Pauline had a love for music especially, gospel and enjoyed performing as a soloist. She loved her Lord, her family, her church and church family and was faithful to all as long as she possibly could. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; John E. McDougald, sister; Grace McDougald and brother; Benn Scott. Survivors include her son; Charles E. McDougald and wife, Carolyn of Kelly, two daughters: Marilyn Cruse and Sue Norwood and husband, Mike both of Olla, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and two special nephews: Devoyd McDougald and Jerry McDougald both of Olla and other family members. Pallbearers will be Charles McDougald, Ronnie Cruse, Chris McDougald, John Cruse, John Norwood and Craig McDougald. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Olla First Baptist Church.
