Obituary of Rev. Minns Robertson

Funeral services for Rev. Minns Sledge Robertson, age 96 of Texarkana, TX formerly of Columbia, LA, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from the sanctuary of Grayson United Methodist Church with Rev. Howard Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Grayson. The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday morning at the church from 9 until 10:30. Rev. Robertson was born on July 10, 1913 on the banks of the Ouachita River at Riverton, LA to the union of George W. and Viola Bonnette Robertson and went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. He was a graduate of LSU and Tulane and became a Methodist minister. After 56 years of serving the Lord, he retired from the Louisiana Methodist Conference and became a member of Grayson United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ann Fluitt Robertson, four sons: Minns S. Robertson, Jr., James W. Robertson, Paul Robertson and Drew Robertson, two daughters: Florence Orr and Mary Nagle, two step-daughters: Alexis Garrison and Karen Jenny, brother; Fred Robertson, 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
