Obituary of Betty Jane Proffer

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jane Sanders Proffer, age 76 of Grayson, will be held at 10 Am Monday, June 21, 2010 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Johnny Barnhill officiating. Interment will follow at Chickasaw Cemetery in Olla. Visitation will be Sunday evening at the funeral home from 5 PM to 9 PM. Mrs. Proffer was born in Tyler, TX on June 3, 1934 and passed from this life on Friday, June 18, 2010 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband; Floyd Edward Proffer, Sr., two sons: Andy Lee Proffer and Jimmy Bryant, one brother and four sisters. Survivors include seven sons: Floyd Edward Proffer, Jr and wife, Tina, Darrell Proffer both of Kelly, William Cockerham, Danny Cockerham, Robert Bryant, Emmit Smith, Chuck Smith all of Houston, TX , three daughters: Marilyn Brownell of Hebert, Lawanda Proffer and Melissa Proffer both of Hooterville, fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
