Obituary of Laura Taylor

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Jane Taylor will be at 12:00 pm Thursday, August 5, 2010, from Banks Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 4pm to 9pm and Wednesday from 8am to 9pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Taylor, 62, of Columbia, was born on May 17, 1948, to the union of Burt and Laura Kelly and passed from this life on Monday, August 2, 2010 in St. Francis Medical Center of Monroe. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, LeRoy (Bo) Kelly, and her loving husband, Mr. Corbet Lyonel Taylor, Sr. Those left to cherish Mrs. Taylor are her children, Corbet L. Taylor, Jr. and wife, Wendy of Columbia, Lonell Brown and husband, Dwayne of Grayson, Sanchi Escalon of Columbia, Chris Norton and husband, Mike of Columbia, Michael Taylor of Columbia, and Lori Rabon of Odessa, TX. Sisters, Sandy Denmon and husband, Johnny of Gilbert; Jackie Mayes and husband, Bruce of Haughton; Peggy Taylor of Monroe; Brother, James King and wife, Milly of Vixen. Pallbearers will be Cody Brown, Zach Brown, Jacob May, Bo Escalon, Mike Norton, and Donnie Taylor. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Brown.
