Obituary of Bobbie Perkins

Funeral services for Ms. Bobbie Patterson Perkins, age 78 of Columbia, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will follow at Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 1 PM until time of service. Ms. Perkins was born on June 20, 1932 to the union of J.D. Patterson and Gusie Linson Patterson and passed from this life on Friday, August 13, 2010 at her residence. She was a retired registered dietician with the La State School in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; William Jackson "Bill" Perkins, Sr., son; Bill Perkins, Jr., daughter; Toya Perkins, grandson; Gabriel "Gabe" Phillips and her two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her two daughters: Belinda Duke Perkins of Benton, LA and Kendra Lea Perkins of Mandeville, adopted children; David Zeagler and wife, Clare of Kingwood, TX, Wayne Hopper of Monroe and Lisa Riddle and husband, Robert of Monroe, grandchildren: Sable Simms, Darryl "D-Ray" Phillips, Mikey Zeagler, Jessica Riddle, Angela Riddle and Dylan Thomas Riddle and great-grandchildren: Gabe Phillips, Andy Proffer, McKenna Phillips, Nova Phillips, Lanie Phillips. Pallbearers will be Sheriff Steve May, Columbia Police Chief Clay Bennett, Chief Deputy Glen Gilmore, Deputy Jay Gore, Deputy Jack McKeithen, Deputy Cedric Meredith.
