Obituary of Bonnie Richmond

Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Rhymes Richmond age 92 of Columbia will be held 10am Tuesday September 21,2010 from the Columbia Chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Stapleton and Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Visitation will be on Monday September 20, 2010 from 4pm to 9pm at the funeral home located at 7131 U S Highway 165, Columbia. Bonnie Barnell Rhymes Richmond was born on July 9, 1918 in Winn Parish, LA to the union of her parents the late John Decatur Rhymes and Eacie Stevens Rhymes. She passed from this life on Saturday September 18,2010 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Richmond, and by her brothers: Claude Rhymes, Clee Rhymes, and J. D. Rhymes. Also by her sisters: Mabell Rhymes Hughes and her husband Jimmy, and Lexie Rhymes Mason and husband James. Survivors include: Sons: Willard Gene Richmond of Kelly, LA, Johnny Dale Richmond of Hebert, LA, and Bobby Wayne Richmond and wife Wendy of Hebert, LA. Her Daughters: Joann Richmond Davis of Columbia (Her late husband Al Davis); Susie Diane Richmond Lapham and husband Butch of Clarks; Mary Ellen Richmond Strange and husband Charles of Grayson. Sister: Tommie Rhymes Wise of Rosenburg, Texas (Late husband Lloyd Wise) Her beloved grandchildren: Breck Lapham,Scotty Lapham, Charlie Strange, Diane Louise Richmond, Johnny Dale Richmond,Jr. Lisa Marie Fatheree, Linda Lou Davis, Connie Ann Davis, Al "Danny"Davis,Jr; Damon Scarbrough, Melissa Renae Richmond, Brandon Lee Richmond, Terry Richmond, Paul Richmond, and Luke Richmond. 16 great grandchildren, and a number of great great grandchildren. Pallbearers include: Paul Richmond, Terry Richmond, Luke Richmond, Al "Danny" Davis,Jr. ; Brandon Bellmore, Brandon Richmond, Damon Scarbrough, and Rick Richmond. Honorary pallbearers include: Breck Lapham, Scotty Lapham,Charles Strange,Jr., and Dustin Lapham.
