Obituary of Victoria Guerrero
Funeral services for Victoria Guerrero, 78, of Columbia, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday September 17, 2011 at St. John's Catholic Church in Columbia. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia.
Victoria was born December 22, 1932 to Felix and Maria Quintanilla in Mexico and she passed from this life on September 14, 2011 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Columbia. She loved to cook a lot for family and friends. She was a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother and was loved by all who met her. She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Guerrero; her parents; four sisters: Maria Martinez, Celia Martinez, Sara Gamboa, and Zenada Quintanilla; one brother: Francisco Quintanilla.
She is survived by one son: Roy Guerrero of Columbia; five daughters: JoAnn Guerrero of Columbia; Mary Brown and her husband Tommy of Columbia; Aida Soignier and her husband Bruce of Monroe; Angie Melton and her husband Leonard of Columbia; Minerva Roberts and her husband Russ of West Monroe; two brothers: Felix Quintanilla, Jr. of Victoria, TX; Tomas Quintanilla of Flint, MI; thirteen grandchildren: Christie Hatten, Kim Cornwell, Aaron Melton, Quincy Brown, Maria Bass, Cori Anderson, Amanda Reynolds, Rusty Roberts, Lucas Roberts, Heath Soignier, Andy Soignier, Chad Guerrero, and Whitney Guerrero; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Melton, Quincy Brown, Rusty Roberts, Lucas Roberts, Heath Soignier, Andy Soignier, Chad Guerrero, and Tyler Hatten.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Hatten, Carl Cornwell, Eric Anderson, Sam Bass, and Daniel Reynolds.
